The Bristol Shakespeare Festival is annual festival hosting performances and events inspired by the Bard in alfresco and unusual spaces across Bristol.

1st July 2018: Race for Life 5k

5k (or just over 3 miles) is an achievable distance for all ages and abilities. You can take part however you like and choose to run, jog or walk your way around the course. The Bristol route follows the perimeter of The Downs, a fairly flat course with a mixed terrain, which takes in amazing views of the Gorge and Suspension Bridge.

40th Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, 9th – 12th August 2018

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest annual meeting of hot air balloons, attracting over 130 Hot Air Balloons from across the globe.

The Fiesta truly is a sight that can only be seen in Bristol. Held over four days in August at Ashton Court Estate, the event is completely free with charges made for parking on the event site.

Alongside the fantastic site of hot air balloons filling the skies, we have a large number of great trade stands, fairground rides and much more entertainment.
