41st Bristol International Balloon Fiesta, 8th – 11th August 2019

The Bristol International Balloon Fiesta is Europe’s largest annual meeting of hot air balloons, attracting over 130 Hot Air Balloons from across the globe.

The Fiesta truly is a sight that can only be seen in Bristol. Held over four days in August at Ashton Court Estate, the event is completely free with charges made for parking on the event site.

Alongside the fantastic site of hot air balloons filling the skies, find a large number of great trade stands, fairground rides and much more entertainment.

The event is held at the Ashton Court Estate, just half an hour by car from the hotel.

Great Bristol Half Marathon, Sunday 15th September 2019

The 2019 Simplyhealth Great Bristol Half Marathon will return as part of the Great Run Series. Over 10,000 runners every year make this a must do event with an atmosphere not to be missed. The run passes the iconic Avon Gorge and Clifton Suspension Bridge.

The start line is just a 20 minute car journey from the hotel, located to the south of Brandon Hill park.

Enjoy a relaxed opportunity to look around the hotel and our function rooms, including our ballroom, which will be set up for a wedding, meet our in-house wedding coordinators and ask any questions you need answers to.

Enjoy a complimentary glass of fizz, meet other brides and maybe swap ideas over some tasty canapes! There is no need to book but if you do let us know you are coming we can discuss what we are showing and may be able to arrange things to make sure you see the features that you were particularly interested in.
